Looking to build on last season’s solid campaign, the Knights boys opened the season in impressive fashion. The boys finished in 4th place in the invitational behind only AAAAAAA schools West Forsyth, Lambert, and South Forsyth.

The Knights were led by Sophomore Sebastien Sergile (48 points) and Senior Captain Bryan Teffeteller (37 points), but they had contributions from a total of 11 different swimmers and divers.

Teffeteller – 5th in 50FR, 4th in 100BK
Aidan Saunders (32 points) – 6th in 200IM, 8th in 100BR
Justin Bender (29 points) – 3rd in 100BR

Ben Engel (18 points) – 5th in Diving

The girls team finished in 8th place. The Knights were led by returning stars from last year’s championship team Madeline Singletary (48 points), Alexis Bender (37 points), Hannah Collerette (27 points), Gabriella Born (11 points), and Taylor Widmann (11 points). Singletary swept her events winning gold in both. Bender had some particularly eye opening swims. The Senior captain’s 200IM and 100BR swims were faster than any non-suited meet her entire Junior campaign.

The Knights had 18 new state cuts at the meet.
