Beginning the week of 9/7, Centennial will finally begin hosting athletic events. Our athletes have been hard at work since the beginning of practice in early August, as well as months of weight training and conditioning before that. They are ready to showcase their skills, talent, and improvement for the Centennial community.
While we will be hosting games and allowing spectators, there will be restrictions and capacity limits made for both the health of our fans and visitors, as well as our athletes. Please read all of the guidelines below as you prepare to come cheer on our Knights!
The first major change is that all events will be CASHLESS for this school year. Tickets will be available online prior to the event at www.gofan.co, and also available for purchase at the gate via credit card. This cashless option will allow lines to flow quicker for entrance into the stadium, and will also help keep our ticket takers and employees from direct contact with spectators.
Each venue will have a specific capacity and once that capacity is reached, tickets and entrance will no longer be available. Please see the capacity limits below:
- Football Home Stands – 707 fans
- Football Visiting Stands – 236 fans
- Volleyball (Main Gym) – 315 fans
- Volleyball (Aux Gym) 60 fans
- Softball – 150 fans
In all venues, social distancing will be required. We will have designated seating areas and we do ask that all fans follow instructions and only sit in designated areas. For softball games, we request that fans bring their own chairs to sit along the foul areas for maximum social distancing while watching the games.
In addition to social distancing, the following precautions will be in place:
- No tailgating will be allowed on FCS campus
- No student gatherings prior to the game
- Each spectator will be temperature checked and screened prior to entry to the event
- Each spectator will be required to wear a mask while attending the event.
- Spectators will be restricted from the following areas before, after and during each event. Only approved personnel will be allowed in the following:
- Press box
- Track area
- Inside any fence near the competition area
If you cannot attend games for any reason, or you are out of town, all of our games in our Main Gym and Stadium will be broadcast LIVE on the NFHS Network. You do need an account to view, but this is a great option for any family out of town, or anyone that cannot attend venues where large crowds are possible. Go to https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/ and create your own account, don’t forget to set CENTENNIAL as your favorite school. A portion of your subscription does come back to Centennial and we appreciate your support!
We know these games will look very different than they have in the past, but we feel fortunate that not only do our athletes get to compete, we will get the opportunity to watch them. If you have any questions to the district guidelines set above, please reach out to Athletic Director Jeff Burch.
