Centennial High School is proud to announce our new Head Football Coach, Shane Sams. Coach Sams is coming to Centennial by way of Warner Robins High School, his alma mater. While at Warner Robins, Coach Sams led the Demons offense and won back to back Region Titles, as well as consecutive appearances in the AAAAA State Title game. Under the guidance of Coach Sams, the Demons scored 558 points, 2nd most in school history. Prior to Warner Robins, Coach Sams served as the Offensive Coordinator for Chapel Hill and New Manchester High Schools. Villa Rice High School is where Coach Sams started his coaching career while attending the University of West Georgia.
Coach Sams is excited to get started as soon as possible with the Knights. Off season workouts in the weight room and on the field will be announced shortly as Coach looks to continue on the success of the last few years. Under his leadership, Coach will foster school pride, community involvement, student-teacher relationships, and college recruitment. He is excited to meet our players and coaches and to be a part of the Centennial community. Coach Sams will be at Centennial next Friday to meet the players and plans to attend our Senior Night basketball game with our players. More details of that event will be coming from our booster club.
Coach Sams, his wife and high school sweetheart Kylie and their son Barrett (Bear) cannot wait to be in our community and to be Knights!
