Centennial is volunteering to help support BlazeSports at the Adopt-a-Mile cheer zone at Atlanta Track Club’s 10-Miler event on Sunday, October 21st! Blaze needs at least 60 volunteers out there but we need numbers!
This is a fun team event where we will encourage runners while having the satisfaction of helping out a great cause. You can certainly bring a friend or sibling that is not part of the team! We’re leaving early but will be back by about 10:30 AM.
Here’s all the details:
When: Sunday, October 21, 2018
Time: Bus will depart from Centennial at 6:00 am – I know it’s early but we will be done early as well.
Arrive at Chher Zone 6:30am. We MUST be set-up by 7:00am. First runner passes at 7:15am.
Time commitment: 6:00am-9:30am. We are at mile 2, so we can break down early!
Where: 1895 Peachtree St., NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 (set-up: In front of Peachtree Road Package Store – park at Chik-Fil-A – across from Shepherd Center).
Theme: “BlazeSports Flash Back to the 1996 Olympics & Paralympics!” We’ll be playing ‘90’s music along with a classic Running Motivation Playlist!
Costumes & Props: Michael “gold Shoes” Johnson, Carl Lewis, Kerri Strug (injured gymnast), Muhammad Ali (lit the Torch), Scream, Space Jam or dress like an athlete and Wear Your Race Medals !
