Girls Varsity Softball · Four RBI Day for Anna Culpepper Seals the Deal in Knights’ Victory Over Northview

Roswell, GA, Sept 25, 2018 – Anna Culpepper wasted no opportunities at the plate on Tuesday, the last game of the 2018 season, driving in four on two hits to lead CHS past Northview 16-10 on Tuesday. Culpepper drove in runs on a single in the second, a double in the third, and a walk in the fifth.

An early lead helped propel CHS to victory. CHS scored on a single by Caroline Jacobs in the first inning, a single by Culpepper in the second inning, and a single by Breshae Hill in the second inning.

CHS notched five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by CHS was led by Culpepper, Hill, Melanie Brumley, Mara Mershon, and Jacobs, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Northview scored three runs in the fourth inning. Northview offense in the inning was led by #25, #27, and #3, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Brumley pitched CHS to victory. She allowed 12 hits and ten runs over seven innings, striking out one.

#8 took the loss for Northview. She went two innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out three.

CHS had 11 hits in the game. Hill, Culpepper, Macey Cherfoli, Jacobs, and Chloe Healton each racked up multiple hits for CHS. Hill went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Centennial Lady Knights Varsity in hits.

Northview tallied 12 hits on the day. #25 and #27 all managed multiple hits for Northview.
