MON – distance run on strava. All athletes should complete a distance run based on their level of fitness and post the results on strava.
TUE – Last morning practice of the season. 1 set of pace 400’s. The goal is to run your fastest set of the year. Athletes will be vying for a spot on the bus for the last meet of the season next Tuesday, and for the right to compete as one of the 7 runners on the region varsity team.
WED – Scavenger hunt run. Athletes will be placed into teams and each team will be assigned a list of items that they must retrieve. The team with the lowest combined time will win the prize. Athletes should plan on bringing $1-2 each, as some of the items need to be purchased.
THUR – Strava practice. Varsity runners (and anyone else able to drive) are encouraged to run at Webb Bridge park to preview the region course. There is no option for bus transportation so athletes not able to make the trip should run 3-4 miles on their own. A map of the course will be provided to the team.
FRI – 20x200m on the practice field. Expected time of completion – 5:15 pm. Once again, the performance of athletes in this practice will be used to determine participation in the meet on Tuesday the 17th and the roster for the 7 man region team.
