Multiple Teams · Knights Take Down Hooch 45 -31!

The Varsity football team won their 2nd game in a row on Friday night, beating Chattahoochee 45 – 31 at the Fortress. The points came early and often for the Knights, as Aaron Turk took the opening kickoff back 96 yds for a TD. The Knights extended their lead to 10-0 before Chattahoochee began to come back. The Knights made it 17-10 before halftime when Luther Martinez scored from 27 yards out on 4th and long.

The third quarter saw some big hits and big plays as the teams traded touchdowns throughout the quarter, keeping the Knights ahead 31-24. In the 4th, the Knights broke it open with 2 more scores on runs QB Casen Conway and FB Martinez. Chattahoochee would put up 1 more TD as time was winding down but it wasn’t enough.

The Knights were led on offense by quarterback Casen Conway, who was 11/18 for 135 yds and 3 TDs as well as 65 yds and 1 TD rushing.; Luther Martinez had 107 yds total offense and 2 TDs. Defensively, Chris Calhoun had another big game for the Knights with 7.5 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Aaron Turk also had 5.5 tackles to go with his 96 yd kickoff return for TD to open the game.

The Knights are now 2-1 in region play (2-2 overall) and will visit Johns Creek on Friday; their last game before the bye week. Come support all of our boys on Friday night and cheer them on to a 3-1 region record.
