Knights News · Orientation and Dirt Lot Parking


Orientation is right around the corner and will be on Thursday August 7. Freshman will be from 9 – 11 and all other classes will be from 1 – 3. As you get your schedule and locker, please stop by the cafeteria to see all of the clubs and athletic programs that Centennial has to offer. This will also be your opportunity to purchase Student Season passes, Adult Season passes and purchase a Dirt Lot parking space.

Student Season passes will be valid for all HOME games (excluding GHSA playoffs) for the 2014-15 seasons. The cost is $40 and will be available at a table in the front of the cafeteria. Adult season passes will be available for $75 and can be purchased from the booster club of any individual sport.

Parking for the Dirt Lot will be different for the upcoming school year than it has been in the past. Due to the ongoing construction in the area, the “Dirt Lot” will now be a paved and lined parking lot. Unfortunately, the progress also means that it will be limited to only 50 spaces, available on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.

Spots will be for sale beginning on Thursday, August 7 at orientation. Spots will be able to be purchased in the cafeteria from any athletic club, or at the table that is selling Athletic Season passes. Whether you purchase from Coach Burch or a club, the proceeds will go to the club of your choice. The form below must be filled out for a parking pass and turned in before your space is secured.

If the “Dirt Lot” is not paved and ready for parking at the start of the school year, Kohls Shopping Center has graciously offered the use of 50 spaces for parking (with parking stickers) until it is available. The spaces will be on the far right side of their lot (as you face the school). All crossing of Scott Rd. should be done at the cross walk at the stop light.

Booster Club Officers,

 

There are two ways we will distribute the 50 spots for the dirt parking lot:

 

1)  Students/Parents may get the form (also attached) from Jeff Burch at Orientation on Thursday and indicate the individual club on the form.  He will also collect a check and forward it to the individual clubs.  Since the spots are limited to 50, he will distribute receipts that secure the parking passes as he receives the forms.  

 

2)  If a booster member sells an individual spot, there is a space on the form called “Sellers Name” for booster members to sign indicating they have already received payment.  Again, since spots are limited to 50 all forms must be delivered to Jeff Burch in order to secure the parking passes on a first come, first serve basis.
